FX Artist

Archon Games is seeking skilled FX Artists to create special effects for use with Torque Powered products.  We are interested in individuals looking to get a jump start on their careers by working with an established team of professionals.  Candidates must be self-motivated, highly productive, very passionate about games and your work, organized, assertive, and fun to work with.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Game Design or related courses (Or ability to prove necessary skills for creating special effects within game engines)
• 1 Year Min. Experience creating special effects for Torque Powered products
• Ability to create high-quality special effects using a variety of methods
• Up to date on all the latest industry technologies and methods for creating stunning visual masterpieces
• Must have dependable internet access
• Must have 2D image editing software such as Photoshop
• A strong passion for your work and a strong desire to be a part of the gaming industry

 3D Animator

Archon Games is seeking skilled animators to rig and animate characters and animate various game objects for use in Torque3D.  We are interested in individuals looking to get a jump start on their careers by working with an established team of professionals.  Candidates must be self-motivated, highly productive, very passionate about games and your work, organized, assertive, and fun to work with.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Animation or related courses (Or ability to prove necessary skills for rigging/animating game characters)
• Ability to rig and animate existing character models specifically for 3D games
• Proficiency with industry standard tools such as 3ds Max
• Must have dependable internet access
• Must have 3ds Max 2008 (Preferrably Max 2010. Sorry, no Maya)
• Must have passion for your work and a strong desire to be a part of the gaming industry

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in 3D Art or related courses (Or ability to prove necessary skills for creating game models)
• Ability to create high-quality models in both low and high poly counts, specifically for 3D games and preferably for Torque3D
• Ability to Unwrap/UV Map meshes
• Create stunning textures for your models using a variety of methods
• Proficiency with industry standard tools such as 3ds Max
• Must have dependable internet access
• Must have 3ds Max 2008 or higher (Preferrably Max 2010. Sorry, no Maya)
• Must have 2d image editing software such as Photoshop
• Must have passion for your work and a strong desire to be a part of the gaming industry
